Luna Cafe - Toronto

Walking into Luna cafe "suggested by my sister" it's this little corner cafe styled on the outside in black walls having left the former corner stores Coca-Cola signs in the window to, what I assume, create that "hipster feel" that places go for to attract people with the curious contrast of it all. In the end it did attract me! Although when walking in the cafe was busy for a Thursday afternoon, the staff was pleasant and welcoming to me, which is always a positive because none of us want to deal with a bitchy waiter when we're out paying for our food. If I wanted to be partially accompanied by a bitch well I eat I have a list of people I would invite over for dinner instead, so it's nice having a pleasant waiter anyways.
I found the photo they used for the front of the menu quite unique showcasing an art piece, it really helped establish the vibe of this cafe.

I did quite appreciate the small flower arrangement on each table, brings a nice light to the table view, anything that can brighten my day!
Drink - chai tea latte. The tea has a natural relaxing, calming and slightly sweet taste to it, but knowing me I had to add sugar as I've had a sweet touch since I've entered this world.

Food - Luna laviounais. The smell of this dish is amazing as the Peamale bacon smell is smoky and strong! It's two heavenly pouched eggs on top of arugula salad with mushrooms, onions and potatoes. Scratch that, no potato, just a mushroom that looks like one. The taste of everything goes perfect together, not to intense, but you can tell everything is nicely fresh 🙂 also I love the texture combination of the slightly crispy bacon on top of the arugula with the perfectly soft egg on top. Over all quite the satisfying dish

Over all I would say my solo brunch at Luna cafe was a success and was just what I needed for a rainy day! The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed for the smaller space it is. I would suggestion going here for a week day meet up with a bestie, also the all day breakfast is Defiantly a huge perk to me!
