Hello my fellow readers, the few of you that're tuning in.  This will be the first post to my on going series of awkward encounters and experience which shell be called "Social Awkward Sundays"

The Blunt Texas Man

It was a casual Wednesday afternoon at 2PM in Waco, Texas.  I will say Waco lived up to it's name! I was out by the hotel patio, about 20 feet from the hotel, i had my shirt off as i wasn't about coming back to Canada pale as a stereo typical Texan man probably in his late 20s, wearing his cowboy hat driving his pick up truck slowly drove by me.  He proceeded to slow down and roll down his window to ask me a question.  He looked at me and casually said "I know this is a long shot, but are you gay?"  Usually with these questions i'd just avoid answering and change the topic or end the conversation, but it was in daylight, right beside the hotel and i even saw one of my cast mates about 15 feet away. So i responded to him with a monotone, yes.  He smiled, looked at me and with no doubt in his eyes asked if i wanted a blow job.  I was in shock that someone would actually in their mind think its totally normal to ask someone that, let alone have this happen to me in Texas!  

I responded to him in shock with my jaw dropping saying "Um, no."  I'm sorry, but just because i am a homosexual does not mean that i have the desire to hook up with anything that moves, let alone something like this!  He then laughed and confidently asked again if i wanted a Blow job,  I'm sorry sir, i guess my NO was not clear enough the first time.  I laughed and said No thank you as he proceeded to drive his car away telling me to have a good day as if we just talked about the weather.  Over all this socially awkward experience left me in shock and disappointment knowing that their is many people out their who will ask for a form of sex as if its a casual hand shake greeting.  Sorry sir, just because i'm gay for one doesn't mean that i don't have a "Type" and also don't have the casual desire to hook up in a strangers car, but thank you for the offer.
